Math-Wiki
בכל האזור התכול ([math]\displaystyle{ a>0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ L }[/math] ממשי) מותר להציב את הגבולות, [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to a^L }[/math] (סעיף (ד) של הטענה; הקו המקווקו [math]\displaystyle{ a=1 }[/math] הוא סעיף (ג)). הנקודה הירוקה [math]\displaystyle{ (2,3) }[/math] היא הדוגמה מהלוח, [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{2n-1}{n+2}\right)^{3+\frac1n}\to2^3=8 }[/math]. על הקרן המנוקדת ([math]\displaystyle{ a=0 }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ L<0 }[/math]) הביטוי [math]\displaystyle{ a^L }[/math] אינו מוגדר, ואכן [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac1n\right)^{-1}=n\to\infty }[/math].

  • (א) יהי [math]\displaystyle{ a>0 }[/math] מספר ממשי, ונניח ש [math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to0 }[/math]. אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a^{b_n}\to1 }[/math].
  • (ב) יהיו [math]\displaystyle{ a>0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ L }[/math] מספרים ממשיים, ונניח ש [math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to L }[/math]. אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a^{b_n}\to a^L }[/math].
  • (ג) יהי [math]\displaystyle{ L\in\mathbb R }[/math], ונניח ש [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to1 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to L }[/math]. אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to1 }[/math].
  • (ד) יהיו [math]\displaystyle{ a>0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ L }[/math] מספרים ממשיים, ונניח ש [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to a }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to L }[/math]. אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to a^L }[/math].
  • (ה) יהי [math]\displaystyle{ L>0 }[/math] מספר ממשי, ונניח ש [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\ge0 }[/math] לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to L }[/math].

(א) [math]\displaystyle{ \lim_{n\to\infty}\left(\frac{2n-1}{n+2}\right)^{3+\frac1n} }[/math]
(ב) [math]\displaystyle{ \lim_{n\to\infty}\left(\frac1n\right)^{3+\frac1n} }[/math]

    [math]\displaystyle{ \to\frac{2-0}{1+0}=2 }[/math],
לכן לפי סעיף (ד) של הטענה [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{2n-1}{n+2}\right)^{3+\frac1n} }[/math]
    [math]\displaystyle{ \to2^3=8 }[/math].
  • (ב) הבסיס [math]\displaystyle{ \frac1n }[/math] חיובי לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math] ושואף ל־[math]\displaystyle{ 0 }[/math], והמעריך [math]\displaystyle{ 3+\frac1n }[/math] שואף ל־[math]\displaystyle{ 3>0 }[/math]. לכן לפי סעיף (ה) [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac1n\right)^{3+\frac1n}\to0 }[/math] (על הלוח נכתב בקיצור [math]\displaystyle{ \to0^3=0 }[/math]).

(א) [math]\displaystyle{ \lim_{n\to\infty}\left(\frac{n}{n+4}\right)^{\frac1{n-5}} }[/math]
(ב) [math]\displaystyle{ \lim_{n\to\infty}\left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac n{2n+1}} }[/math]
(ג) [math]\displaystyle{ \lim_{n\to\infty}\left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac n2} }[/math]

הבסיס: [math]\displaystyle{ \frac{n}{n+4}=\frac1{1+\frac4n}\to1 }[/math]; המעריך: [math]\displaystyle{ \frac1{n-5}\to0 }[/math]. לפי סעיף (ג) של הטענה, עם [math]\displaystyle{ L=0 }[/math], מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{n}{n+4}\right)^{\frac1{n-5}}\to1 }[/math].
  • (ב) הבסיס: לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math] מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ \frac{4n+1}{n+2}>0 }[/math], ולפי אריתמטיקה של גבולות [math]\displaystyle{ \frac{4n+1}{n+2}=\frac{4+\frac1n}{1+\frac2n} }[/math]
    [math]\displaystyle{ \to\frac{4+0}{1+0}=4 }[/math]. המעריך: [math]\displaystyle{ \frac n{2n+1}=\frac1{2+\frac1n} }[/math]
    [math]\displaystyle{ \to\frac12 }[/math]. הבסיס חיובי ושואף ל־[math]\displaystyle{ 4>0 }[/math], והמעריך שואף למספר הממשי [math]\displaystyle{ \frac12 }[/math], ולכן לפי סעיף (ד) של הטענה [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac n{2n+1}} }[/math]
    [math]\displaystyle{ \to4^{\frac12}=2 }[/math].
נסמן [math]\displaystyle{ c_n=\left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac12} }[/math]. אזי [math]\displaystyle{ c_n>0 }[/math] (שורש של מספר חיובי), ולפי חוקי החזקות (הבסיס חיובי) [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac n2}=(c_n)^n }[/math] לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math].
כיוון ש [math]\displaystyle{ 2>1 }[/math], לפי משפט 2.6.1(א) [math]\displaystyle{ (c_n)^n\to\infty }[/math], כלומר [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac n2}\to\infty }[/math]. (בסעיף 2.12 נראה שזה מקרה פרטי של כלל כללי, טענה 2.12.1(יג): אם [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to a }[/math] עבור מספר ממשי [math]\displaystyle{ a>1 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to\infty }[/math], אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to\infty }[/math].
בסעיפים (ב) ו־(ג) הבסיס זהה והמעריכים נראים דומים, אבל [math]\displaystyle{ \frac n{2n+1}\to\frac12 }[/math] ואילו [math]\displaystyle{ \frac n2\to\infty }[/math], והגבולות הם [math]\displaystyle{ 2 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ \infty }[/math].

(א) חשבו את [math]\displaystyle{ \lim_{n\to\infty}\left(1+\frac1n\right)^{2+\frac1n} }[/math].
(ב) סטודנט כתב: "[math]\displaystyle{ 1+\frac1n\to1 }[/math], ולכן [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n\to1^n=1 }[/math]".

לפי סעיף (ג) של הטענה [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^{2+\frac1n}\to1 }[/math] (על הלוח: [math]\displaystyle{ \to1^2=1 }[/math]).
  • הגבול אינו [math]\displaystyle{ 1 }[/math]: לפי אי־שוויון ברנולי, לכל [math]\displaystyle{ x>-1 }[/math] ולכל [math]\displaystyle{ m\in\mathbb N }[/math] מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ (1+x)^m\ge1+mx }[/math]. יהי [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math]; נציב [math]\displaystyle{ x=\frac1n>-1 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ m=n }[/math] ונקבל
    [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n\ge1+n\cdot\frac1n=2 }[/math].
  • נניח בשלילה ש [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n\to1 }[/math]. לפי הגדרת הגבול עם [math]\displaystyle{ \varepsilon=1 }[/math], קיים [math]\displaystyle{ K\in\mathbb N }[/math] כך שלכל [math]\displaystyle{ n>K }[/math] מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ \left|\left(1+\frac1n\right)^n-1\right|<1 }[/math], ובפרט [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n<2 }[/math], בסתירה לאי־השוויון הקודם. לכן [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n\not\to1 }[/math].

(א) אם [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to\infty }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to0 }[/math], אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to\infty }[/math].
(ב) אם [math]\displaystyle{ a_n>0 }[/math] לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to0 }[/math], אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to0 }[/math].
(ג) אם [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\ge0 }[/math] לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n\in\mathbb N }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to\infty }[/math], אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to0 }[/math].

  • (א) הפרכה: [math]\displaystyle{ a_n=n\to\infty }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n=\frac1n\to0 }[/math], אבל [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}=\sqrt[n]n\to1 }[/math] (כלל המנה, סעיף (ג), כי [math]\displaystyle{ \frac{n+1}n\to1 }[/math]), ובפרט [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\not\to\infty }[/math].
  • (ב) הפרכה: [math]\displaystyle{ a_n=b_n=\frac1n }[/math]. אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}=\frac1{\sqrt[n]n} }[/math]
    [math]\displaystyle{ \to\frac11=1 }[/math] (למה 2.4.1, כי [math]\displaystyle{ \sqrt[n]n\to1\ne0 }[/math]), ובפרט [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\not\to0 }[/math].
אם [math]\displaystyle{ c>1 }[/math] אזי [math]\displaystyle{ c^n\to\infty }[/math] (דוגמה ל־[math]\displaystyle{ \infty^0 }[/math]), ואם [math]\displaystyle{ 0<c<1 }[/math] אזי [math]\displaystyle{ c^n\to0 }[/math] (דוגמה ל־[math]\displaystyle{ 0^0 }[/math]), לפי מסקנה 2.6.2. עם [math]\displaystyle{ b_n=-\frac1n }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ a_n=\left(\frac1c\right)^n }[/math] מתקיים שוב [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}=c }[/math] לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n }[/math], וכך מתקבלים גם [math]\displaystyle{ \infty^0 }[/math] עם [math]\displaystyle{ 0<c<1 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ 0^0 }[/math] עם [math]\displaystyle{ c>1 }[/math]; הגבול [math]\displaystyle{ 1 }[/math] התקבל כבר בסעיפים (א) ו־(ב).
  • (ג) הוכחה: כיוון ש [math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to\infty }[/math], קיים [math]\displaystyle{ K_1\in\mathbb N }[/math] כך שלכל [math]\displaystyle{ n>K_1 }[/math] מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ b_n>1 }[/math]. כיוון ש [math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to0 }[/math], קיים [math]\displaystyle{ K_2\in\mathbb N }[/math] כך שלכל [math]\displaystyle{ n>K_2 }[/math] מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ a_n<1 }[/math].
  • יהי [math]\displaystyle{ n>\max\{K_1,K_2\} }[/math].

  • "[math]\displaystyle{ 1^\infty=1 }[/math]": כשהבסיס שואף ל־[math]\displaystyle{ 1 }[/math] והמעריך ל־[math]\displaystyle{ \infty }[/math], אסור להחליף רק את הבסיס בגבולו ("[math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n=1^n\to1 }[/math]" שגוי; למעשה [math]\displaystyle{ \left(1+\frac1n\right)^n\ge2 }[/math] לכל [math]\displaystyle{ n }[/math]).
  • לקבוע לפי המראה שהמעריך "גדול": ב־[math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac{4n+1}{n+2}\right)^{\frac n{2n+1}} }[/math] יש [math]\displaystyle{ n }[/math] במעריך, אבל המעריך שואף ל־[math]\displaystyle{ \frac12 }[/math], והגבול הוא [math]\displaystyle{ 4^{\frac12}=2 }[/math] ולא [math]\displaystyle{ \infty }[/math].
  • להשמיט את התנאי [math]\displaystyle{ a>0 }[/math]: הנוסח "[math]\displaystyle{ a_n\to L }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to M }[/math], ואחד הגבולות שונה מאפס, אזי [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to L^M }[/math]" שגוי כאשר [math]\displaystyle{ L=0 }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ M<0 }[/math]: עבור [math]\displaystyle{ a_n=\frac1n }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n=-1 }[/math] מתקיים [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}=n\to\infty }[/math], ו־[math]\displaystyle{ 0^{-1} }[/math] אינו מוגדר כלל.
  • להשמיט את התנאי [math]\displaystyle{ L>0 }[/math] בסעיף (ה): [math]\displaystyle{ 0^0 }[/math] הוא מקרה בעייתי, ולמשל [math]\displaystyle{ \left(\frac1n\right)^{\frac1n}\to1 }[/math] אף שהבסיס והמעריך שואפים שניהם ל־[math]\displaystyle{ 0 }[/math]; גם [math]\displaystyle{ \infty^0 }[/math] בעייתי: [math]\displaystyle{ n^{\frac1n}=\sqrt[n]n\to1 }[/math].

  • מועד א' תשפ"ה (מתמטיקה, בועז צבאן) · חלק נכון/לא נכון, סעיף ד: עבור [math]\displaystyle{ a>0 }[/math], [math]\displaystyle{ 0<a_n\to a }[/math] ו־[math]\displaystyle{ b_n\to b\in\mathbb R }[/math] גוררים [math]\displaystyle{ a_n^{b_n}\to a^b }[/math] (נכון, זה סעיף (ד) של הטענה) (פתרון).
